Hendry is only eight-years-old, but was concerned that his beloved country might be invaded by foreign army and her people won’t have the ability to defend themselves. He would imagine himself as a soldier and coming to the rescue. Hendry was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and Make-A-Wish Malaysia granted his wish by providing him with a large set of military toys and an extra special visit to 31st Royal Artillery Regiment.

31st Royal Artillery Regiment came out in full force to show Hendry that he had nothing to fear. Hendry was provided with a personalized uniform which he proudly wore it on his wish day. Our sponsor, Tengku Zafrul from CIMB spent the morning with Hendry at 31st Royal Artillery learning about the Air Defence Regiment, experiencing jungle style cooking and watching warriors in hand-to-hand combat. They were treated as one of the soldiers and enjoyed every minute of it. Hendry got to experience every boy’s dream and left the base feeling extremely safe and protected. Now, he knows he has nothing to worry about!
