To meet and experience the life of a real princess

Aleesya is a lovely and excitable young girl. However, nothing could have prepared her to fully experience and become the princess she is.

Name: Aleesya

Age: 6

Illness: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Reg B

Wish: To meet and experience the life of a real princess

When Aleesya revealed her wish, our Royal Patron YAM Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah Binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah immediately knew that it was right up her alley. The six-year-old who has been diagnosed with a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow spends a lot of time in the hospital making the quality time spent with her family and a real-life princess that much more special.

In preparation for her visit to Istana Negara, Aleesya donned a pretty dress in her favourite colours of pink and purple and got all dolled-up - complete with a tiara and long hair, just like her all-time favourite Disney princess, Rapunzel. Lots of laughter was heard from the usually shy girl as she played on a giant snakes and ladders board, foosball (the tag team of princesses won, in case you’re wondering), mini darts and fed koi fish in a pond on the palace grounds together with the Selangor princess. She also participated in her first-ever scavenger hunt, and that too at the regal venue!

Then it was time for tea fit for princesses with an ice cream cake before Tengku Zatashah handed Aleesya her gifts that included a Smiggle school bag in her favourite colours in addition to unicorn-themed stationery, games, puzzles and plush toys. Before the day ended, the duo spent some time together exploring the scrapbook that Aleesya had worked on for months, adding her photos to childhood photos of Tengku Zatashah alongside drawings, wordings and of course, pretty stickers. As a special treat, this My Little Pony fan also spent an afternoon at Farm in the City where besides feeding the animals there, she got to ride a pony.

“I can live in this house!”exclaimed Aleesya who was all smiles at the end of her wish day, summing up the excitement and happiness from having her wish granted - an invaluable experience made possible by a donation from Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF) and Tengku Zatashah facilitated by Make-A-Wish volunteers, Ashley, Yi Xian, Su San and Weina.
