We love seeing our wish children meet the people who inspire them, and for 11-year-old Alven, that person was Big Yong.
After surgery and a diagnosis of rhabdomyosarcoma, one wish kept Alven smiling through it all: meeting the YouTuber he had admired since kindergarten. As a fellow Sarawakian, Big Yong wasn’t just someone Alven enjoyed watching—he was someone who made him feel proud of where he came from and showed him that big dreams can begin close to home.
When they finally met, what started as a wish became a meaningful three-day adventure. Together, they explored Aquaria KLCC, a special experience for Alven, who loves fishing and has always been fascinated by aquatic life. Over a lunch of his favourite spaghetti, they shared stories, questions, and plenty of laughter.
The journey ended at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers during Alven’s very first visit to Kuala Lumpur. By the end of the trip, Big Yong was no longer just a YouTuber Alven looked up to—he had become someone Alven proudly calls a big brother.
